Send us your news

We publish stories to support the development of the voluntary and community sector and distribute a monthly e-bulletin targeted at voluntary and community sector organisations and groups.

You can submit your news story for publication by email to ask@vawd.org.uk with 'VAWD website news story' in the subject title. Please send your story at least ten working days before you need it to be published. Alternatively, post your story to:

Please note that our e-bulletin publishes stories to support the development of voluntary and community sector organisations and groups. If you have other stories you would like to share, or would like to let people know about your events and project activities, you can do so for free via our facebook page.

Format of stories

We prefer to keep our news stories published on this website quite short and easy to read. Write your content in accessible language, as though you are having a conversation with the reader, and spell any acronyms out in full. Ensure you add to your story how readers can get more information. Please also supply your contact details. Information may be edited prior to publication to meet our editorial guidelines.  

E-bulletin

We distribute an e-bulletin during the first week of each month. You need to submit your news story for potential inclusion by the 25th of the preceding month. For example, for the August edition you would send us your story before 25 July.
