Helping Wakefield-based organisations to work with people across the United Kingdom
A social enterprise supported by Voluntary Action Wakefield District (VAWD) and praised in a recent Yorkshire Post article has highlighted key benefits VAWD brought to the development of their organisation and the community.
Engaging Education consists of five 21 year-old male entrepreneurs who aim to educate, inspire and unite young people across the United Kingdom. The organisation, which VAWD supported to become a Company Limited by Guarantee, reports that it is now in a position to increase its funding streams to offer increased services and products to the community.
"We are now in a position to increase our funding streams to offer services and products at a subsidised rate and hence, are able to benefit even more people within our community and target network.
"We were able to commence (and have now completed) the process of registering as a Company Limited by Guarantee. As such, we are now able to apply for grant funding that will help us to continue to grow the organisation and improve the impact that it has on our community.
"Without support from VAWD, we would be nowhere near where we are today. Although a cliché, it is true when we say it has been invaluable."
Ross Bennett, Director of Finance and Future Development, about the difference VAWD has made to their organisation and the people they support.
About Engaging Education
Engaging Education consists of five 21 year-old male entrepreneurs, aiming to educate, inspire and unite young people across the United Kingdom. This is achieved through the creation of exciting and unique educational products, and the delivery of engaging educational and enterprising programmes.
These bespoke programmes are tailored to the needs of individual Primary/High Schools and centre around the development of literacy, numeracy and lifestyle skills – engaging young people through creative learning experiences. They empower young people to fulfil their individual aspirations and break down barriers. It was previously known as Tellatale.
Tellatale originated from a High School project at the age of 14, where 30 people formed the company as part of the Young Enterprise scheme. Whilst 25 people decided to leave their business venture following the one year vocational completion, the five Directors remained and have since continued inspiring young people across the community.
