Funding Fair - 26 March 2010
Come and join us at Voluntary Action Wakefield District's third Funding Fair. This is a 'market place' style event where you can call in and collect information, or talk in more detail to people who might be able to help you find funding for your group or improve how you run.
The event will be from 10.00am to 2.00pm at All Saints Community Centre, Barnsley Road, South Kirkby, WF9 3JY. There is parking outside, and buses going past the door. There is no need to book, and the event is free.
We have invited along a number of funders, local ones who give out small grants, and national ones with much larger grant schemes. They will be available to talk to you about what they will fund and how to apply.
Specialist advice agencies will also be present to help with other issues such as group development or looking after money.
We will also be running three workshops:
- Grassroots Grants
- Preparing your group for fundraising
- Publicising your group.
We hope there will be something for everyone - from very small groups thinking about making their first grant application, to big established groups wanting advice on a specific fund.
